Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-29
By installing or using LaTeXFlow — either the Google Docs™ Add-on (“the Add-on”) or the Web app at mathsystem.dev/latexflow/web/ (“the Web app”) — you agree to these Terms of Service. Sections marked (Add-on) apply only to the Add-on; sections marked (Web app) apply only to the Web app; unmarked sections apply to both.
1. Description of Service (Add-on)
The Add-on is a Google Workspace Add-on that converts LaTeX mathematical expressions into image format and inserts them into Google Docs. It is provided free of charge.
1b. Description of Service (Web app)
The Web app is a browser-based tool at mathsystem.dev/latexflow/web/ that converts LaTeX expressions inside a .docx file — uploaded directly or imported from Google Drive — into rendered PNG images. All document processing runs in your browser; document text never leaves your device. It is provided free of charge.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use LaTeXFlow only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Use LaTeXFlow to process sensitive personal data of third parties without appropriate authorization
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute LaTeXFlow without permission
- (Add-on) Use the Add-on in ways that violate Google Workspace’s Terms of Service
- (Web app) Use the Web app to abuse Google Drive API quotas or any third-party service it integrates with
3. Data Collection Consent
LaTeXFlow may collect anonymized LaTeX source and rendered equation images for model training purposes, subject to your explicit consent.
- (Add-on) Consent is managed inside Google Docs via Extensions → LaTeXFlow → Data Collection Settings.
- (Web app) When you convert equations, the LaTeX source for each equation and its rendered PNG are sent to our collection endpoint. The non-equation contents of your document are never transmitted.
See our Privacy Policy for full details on what is collected and how it is stored.
You may opt out at any time. Opting out does not affect core functionality.
4. No Warranty
LaTeXFlow is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Compatibility with all Google Docs configurations or browsers
- Accuracy of rendered equations in all cases
5. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use LaTeXFlow.
6. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue LaTeXFlow at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms at any time; the “Last updated” date will reflect changes.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict of law principles.
